I do have something similar in my BDSM studio.
The attached pic is a partial screenshot of one of the videos I made during sessions with the slave suspended in the ropes.
Before covid I also used it for BDSM style photoshoots.

Looks awesome - do they emphasize stretching her in this video, or is the focus once she’s suspended just the spanking?

Also, one of my main gripes of cruel world (although I totally understand why they do this) is that they’ll film a 2-minute suspension but then show it from several angles to makes it last like 7 or 8 minutes. Would you say the film is edited like that, or is it pretty legit?

In my case, there is dialogue which limits the ability to make one suspension look like several. What I did was I "built in" rest breaks, so that she is lifted, spanked, and then lowered. Then, she's lifted again, spanked, and repeat. There's a story to it, so Alex can't repeat footage. For me, I like the look of apprehension when the actor knows "Oh shit; here we go again" as the tension increases on her arms. So it was necessary for her to be lifted repeatedly.

The great thing about Cry is that she can hang for an incredibly long time. She used to be a gymnast, so I'm guessing she has really strong shoulders and arms (even though they don't look it). Here is the original draft of the script I used. There was some modification from vision to production, but generally this still holds true.

"Space Woman"

Plot: A reporter comes to Squalus Labs to create a story for her newspaper, so Dr. Squalus recruits her for a space program experiment. The reporter is stretched out in a suspended spreadeagle position to test human ligament strength in outer space.

Scene 1: Reporter is standing next to Dr. Squalus for an interview. Reporter asks if Dr. Squalus is performing any experiments. Dr. Squalus tells Reporter than Squalus Labs is going to do an experiment to test human strength in outer space by suspending a human volunteer. Reporter volunteers to participate.

Scene 2: Reporter is stripped naked and bound in a suspended spreadeagle position. Dr. Squalus tells camera audience that the experiment has begun and Reporter is doing very well. Reporter is pleased. Dr. Squalus tells audience that Reporter will be left in that position until she passes out; to see how long a cosmonaut can remain conscious in outer space if the body is stressed. Reporter is concerned. Dr. Squalus exits the scene. Reporter hangs in suspension.

Scene 3: Long suspense scene as Reporter begins to feel pain.

Scene 4: Reporter becomes weak with fatigue and passes out.

Scene 5: Dr. Squalus enters the scene and examines Reporter. Dr. Squalus tells audience that Reporter is unconscious but alive. Dr. Squalus exits the scene.

Scene 6: Reporter is standing next to Dr. Squalus. Dr. Squalus tells Reporter that the results of the experiment are very impressive. Dr. Squalus asks Reporter if she would do it again. Reporter says yes, but must rest first. Dr. Squalus agrees. Reporter and Dr. Squalus say good-bye to the camera audience.

So not much to it, but Cry really puts out a great suspension scene. I've wanted to suspend her since I saw "The Suffering Innocent Girl 4" with her in it.

Assistant: Teresa the Terrible
Victim: Demonica

Plot: The national space program has hired Dr. Squalus to conduct a test of human endurance. The goal is to test the effects of pain and stress on the human body in space. Victim will be suspended and spanked.

Scene 1: Dr. Squalus addresses the audience and explains the experiment. Assistant is standing next to Dr. Squalus; Dr. Squalus is standing between Assistant and Victim. Assistant is in charge of the electrocution box. Victim is standing next to Dr. Squalus and is dressed in normal clothes. Dr. Squalus tells Victim to get undressed. Victim places her clothes in a box. Dr. Squalus tells audience that there will be a brief break while Victim is prepared for the experiment.

Scene 2: Victim is standing with her legs side apart and hand wide apart, above her head so that she forms a X. Cuffs are around her wrists and ankles. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs. Dr. Squalus raises Victim until Victim is suspended. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs again. Dr. Squalus selects a paddle and spanks Victim 10 times. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs and lowers Victim.

Scene 3: Victim is standing in an X. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs. Dr. Squalus raises Victim until Victim is suspended. Dr. Squalus spanks Victim 10 times. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs. Dr. Squalus lowers Victim.
Repeat this scene 5 times. When Dr. Squalus gets tired, Assistant does the spanking. Eventually Victim becomes unconscious at the end of the spanking.

Scene 4: Victim is suspended and unconscious. Assistant cleans Victim’s nipples and then attaches electrical clamps to Victim’s nipples. Assistant electrocutes Victim. Victim wakes up. Dr. Squalus lowers Victim.

Scene 5: Victim hangs weakly from the cuffs. Dr. Squalus checks Victim’s heart and lungs. Dr. Squalus thanks the audience for watching. Fade to black.

Fake advertisement (for the break after Scene 1) – Demonica addresses the camera as a commercial spokesman. Demonica is naked and says “Squalus Laboratories, the leader in human experimentation. When only the best will do, hire Squalus Laboratories. We aim high!” Demonica waves her hand in a flourish, like a rocket going to the moon.

So the emphasis was on the raising and suspension in the concept, but I added the spanking to a) make it a little less monotonous, and b) Demonica likes to be spanked. If she's going to be hanging for awhile, I might as well give her a little something to take her mind off of things. The raising and lowering was to give her a rest break while Dr. Squalus checks her vitals and has a discussion with the evil assistant.

The best part for me is the change in expression on her face when she realizes the rest break is over and its time to go back to work.
