Thanks for the encouraging words, all.

Yennefer questioned by her slave driver. Each lie is followed by the tightening of the clamp. Or the 'cunt sandwich' as is colloquially known among the practitioners of the trade. A small yet effective implement that can be easily carried around in the desert.

How sweet, the guy seems genuinely fond of her. But how does he know if she's lying?

It's not his first slave. In the end, they always talk.

Sure, but that's a different issue... She'll talk, but will she tell the truth? :?:

A dichotomy worth exploring.

Wouldn't that depend on how much he enjoys torturing her? 8-)

And I love little clampy things with screws. So much fun to play with.

I love the lighting in this image. The dusk as the sky turns from blue to purple, the camp's bonfire illuminating the slaves as the guilty are mounted on the torture machines and questioned.

Crowds! Everything's better with crowds. Found this image with no credit floating around and while visually attractive, the emptiness of the arena made it feel incomplete. Add some crowds and voila! Credit to the unknown (to me) original author. All I have to say is we need more crowds.
