Tech issues (not GIMP)

Hello all,
I finally got that nice gif from the Suspension AOH thread that cluseb provided, but it usually failed, sometimes with mere seconds to go.

Failed downloads is a question I've been reluctant to ask my ISP, because I'm afraid they're going to ask what I'm trying to download. But I've also been having this problem with my Hotmovies account, and that is a major bummer.
I've tried the following: (1)boot/reboot of my computer, (2) power on/off the router, (3) use of a VPN.

Can anyone suggest anything else? If it helps, I usually see 700-800 kB/sec with a good download, 10x slower than that with a iffy download. The weird thing is that with some sites like Nicheclips, downloads are still consistently okay. With others, not so much.

Any and all ideas are welcome.

I just tried to dl from that link, and it failed rather quickly.

Yeah, I can download it with the download button, but it won't play, maybe it has something to do with the file size it's 43.9 MB's, I'm going to see if I can re-upload it and see if it works

this is what I downloaded and reuploaded back up, it works, so the file is good
that means we need newer computers



I have subsequently deleted it from my DA , because it's a redundant 44 MB's , and I like to respect sites that grant me posting privileges.

If it's any help, I was finally able to grab it from both GIMP, and the DA site. But I can only play it with Firefox, and not WMP (gives error message), like I usually do with .gif files. If I remember correctly, file size was 70+ MB when downloading from GIMP.

Maybe it's my Windows 7 machine, will try it later with my Windows 10 laptop.

I can download it and it does play but it takes a while before it starts. I guess that's due to the file size.

Downloaded from GIMP, took a couple of tries, but can't open it with WMP.

Unless you are running Windows 10 or up it's too big.

I'm on Windows 7, I've put it up on a couple of sites, and it works fine on their servers, but not on my Jerasic laptops.

Ah, you mean the resolution is bigger than 1080p, correct? Like 4K?

but at 44MB. it's the biggest gif I've ever downloaded
