We Upgraded!

Post by La Reine Margot »

I have very good news, we just upgraded the server to a more powerful hosting plan.

You may have experienced or may be experiencing some weird things like a post that disappeared, like the one I posted not long ago, the same message below, but then it was gone.

I believe that as the sites migrate from one hosting plan to another, new posts will be affected. So...

My affected post was:

Too many things have changed and you didn't notice, but there's one change that I will point out to now.

This morning our file usage was at 97.49% capacity and climbing.

Our file usage now, with the exact same situation as this morning is at 6.35%!

Yes, you are reading correctly, Six point thirty five percent!

We hope and expect that we will have the Forum running without hassles for a very, very long time.

We will be able to bring back everything we deleted and put the sites back to where they were with all their historical archives. It will take the entire year to have everything back, but we will have it!

This is a good way to celebrate the 24 years of the GIMP and 25 years of Red Feline!

This is the best news one could hope for. I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into maintaining this site, and now migrating everything to a new host. But please know Margot, that all your efforts here are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all you do for the Gimp.

Even though I know many of us are in our sixties, we are all kids here, sniveling little perverts.
But fortunately this house of creepy connoisseurs and appreciators of digital, fictional ' violence against women ' has a House Mother, you are our Mrs. Garrett ( house mother on 70's sit-com " The facts of life")

...............YOU ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED !!
