...Here' Inquisition Scene 2. I drew my inspiration from an artwork by someone who called himself Inquisitor (see below)....

Wow! Stunning! I love 1) the detail of the sear marks, (2) her look of pain and terror and the fact that she's pulling away from the torturer and his iron, and (3) the fact that her ankle chain is fastened to the floor, keeping her in her aoh position.

Here' Inquisition Scene 2. I drew my inspiration from an artwork by someone who called himself Inquisitor (see below). I tried to re-create his drawing in 3D. It's pretty plain vanilla stuff - Inquisitor didn't spend a lot of time drawing detailed background. He concentrated on inquisitors and their pretty victims. My kind of stuff!

With all due respect to Inquisitors artwork, yours is a huge improvement. Pretty much maxes out my erecto-meter.

I personally would of course be happier if one or more female people were present during the interrogations and tortures... a nun who might keep the torture protocol or one or more noblewomen as sadistic spectators, as they are in the motifs of Roadrunner have been there….

Yes indeed. I would second that motion.

As you undoubtedly remember from previous postings like the Ft. Wayne images, I also love having female(s) (such as a nun or nuns) present during the torture, but the sad fact is that extra characters make the scene much larger in memory. When the size of the scene exceeds the memory of my graphics card, BAM! The rendering defaults to CPU rendering and make take twelve hours or more to render.

So I kind of settled on doing these renders by Inquisitor and others for the present because they involve only one or two characters other than the poor victim, so the render times are much, much shorter. On the order of half an hour for a very nice high resolution image.

One of these days, I'm going to get that second graphics card in order to double my graphics memory. But for the moment, I like being able to have something to post in an hour or two of work.

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed what I posted. I have several more to post, but today is devoted to watching my personal addiction: that is, NCAA football. REAL football, not that snowflake version the Europeans play! (Pardon my American arrogance, friends).

That one's on my list to re-render, Will. I'm really dissatisfied by how I handled the lighting. I've learned a few things since I did that one.

I can't remember where I found this scene of the Iron Maiden, but it gave me the idea of doing something like this one in 3D.

The background is that an extremely wealthy man's wife has been having an affair with a handsome Italian gigolo, but she is unaware that her husband's millions are due to his crimes in the Mafia. And a Mafia Don does not take to betrayal by his wife as others would, by divorcing her. Instead, at the party at which her absence is noted, he tells everyone she has drained one of his trust accounts and vanished, not even taking her Italian plaything with her. Instead, she discovers that the old Italian mansion in which she had lived had basements she was not aware of, dating back to the times of the dreaded Inquisition.

I'll post additional images tomorrow about the closing of the door of the Maiden. Our heroine will have an exciting few days to contemplate her misdeeds, I should think.
