I wish they would speak nicely to the player from time to time when the cameras are rolling, not just behind the scene. For example Amanda, who we know can help and even take care of the players between shots.

It's not about sparing the players. Switching from severe to kind mode at times would be even more Mind-fucking (especially from Tatjana) than being almost constantly dismissive or angry.
