So...did I miss the results? Who are the latest HoFamers?
Re: Help us choose who belongs in the GIMP HALL OF FAME
I was wondering about that too.

Re: Help us choose who belongs in the GIMP HALL OF FAME
The birthday announcement got announced prematurely. Once midnight hit on the 29th, I was ready with the update on the GIMP Hall of Fame.
Now that we know who made it (and who narrowly missed out, which by itself is pretty interesting), this would be a good time to chat it up.
Personally, I was pleased by the strong showing of both David F. Friedman and Mendal Johnson, two guys I was secretly rooting for, but both of whom had gotten meager results in past years. Neither one made it, but both missed getting in by just one vote. I think my post highlighting Friedman's work
(viewtopic.php?f=5&t=279&start=20) probably helped his cause.
But Johnson? I didn't put together any kind of promotion for him. He wrote exactly one book before he died, plus it was 48 years ago and as far as I know "Let's Go Play at the Adams'" is out of print. Of course, I still consider it the best book ever written about bondage. I just didn't think that many voters were familar with it.

I thought Friedman would make it this year. I certainly voted for him since he produced some unforgettable classics and scenes, for ex. that strappado scene from Love Camp 7.Ralphus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 4:38 pmThe birthday announcement got announced prematurely. I am always dissapointed, however, with Naschy's voting results. He was both a good GIMP actor and also director. Some of his scenes are truly memorable, especially the rack and nipple ripping scene in Inquisition. Pero, así es la vida, I guess.

Congratulations to the unrequited love of my life, the inimitable Elise Graves. I’ve pushed hard for her installment into the Hall of Fame for years, and now one of my two dreams relating to her has been realized. I’m at least blessed in the sense that Elise’s starring role in “Curious Elise” was the inspiration for a scene I did with a play partner several years ago. We could never duplicate that level of suffering, but it was fun to try.
Take a bow, darling… oh, well, you can’t quite do that, can you? At least tell us how you feel about this high honor… Oh, you can’t do that either. Alas, tell us with your eyes, before the next jolt of current courses into your tight little ass.

I read it a long time ago, but, since I'm not into snuff, I still prefer "Story of O".Ralphus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 4:38 pmBut Johnson? I didn't put together any kind of promotion for him. All the more because it was my first one, in an age BDSM stuff was scarce and hard to find.
Then again, I'd say "Let's Go Play at the Adam's" is closer to reality.
