AI???
This seems to have potential. I'm a babe in the woods on this. What software do you use for this? Is it available free to test it out?
Re: AI???
Like so many things, the answer is: it depends...
AI is a very broad topic, but I suppose you mean AI image generation?
For AI image generation, you can go two routes:
1. Online AI image generators
2. Install an AI image generator on your own PC
1. Online image generators:
There are plenty of those available, just do a Google search for "AI image generator" and you'll get hundreds of suggestions.
They all work in pretty much the same way: You enter a text prompt and the tool generates an image from it.
Most of them can be used for free with some limitations: x images per day or something like that. If you want to use it more, you'll have to pay...
One example is DeepAI, which you'll find here, free to try:
https://deepai.org/machine-learning-model/text2img
CivitAI, the premier online AI community also runs it own online AI generator, which is a good starting point:
https://civitai.com/
Unfortunately, many of the online AI generators are censored: no nudity... which makes them less suitable for GIMP purposes!
2. Install an AI image generator on your own PC:
This is the more advanced option:
Download the entire AI model, like Stable Diffusion or Flux, and run it locally on your own PC. This requires some technical prowess (which is not that hard to overcome) and, above all, a powerful PC. The graphics card is the key here, since that is what the AI model uses.
The advantage here is that it's (usually) free and that you have total freedom to use it as you want, the limitations of online AI generators is not a problem!
There are several ways to install AI on you own PC, but I myself use the Krita AI Diffusion, which works as an addon to the free open source Krita paint program:
- Install Krita: https://krita.org/en/
- Install the AI Diffusion plugin: https://github.com/Acly/krita-ai-diffusion
- Download and install any AI model you want from CivitAI: https://civitai.com/
Here are some of my own images using Krita AI Diffusion:

Good Lord... I looked into some of this. It's like a combination of Greek and Klingon.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Try not to trip on your way down.Harry45255 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 9:48 am Good Lord... I looked into some of this. It's like a combination of Greek and Klingon.

I was in the same boat two years ago that you are now, and spent a year learning everything I could about it. I've been around computers since the mid-70's and still had to watch a lengthy tutorial on how to install my first AI app, a fork of Stable Diffusion called Automatic1111. I had never even messed with Windows' terminal app before mucking about with AI. It's not for folks who are timid about tech.
Re: AI???
For all of you AI geeks…. This video is absolutely amazing.. Supposedly 100 percent AI. Looking at this makes me think I will quit live production ….. This is NOT only good looking babes staring at you ( see above) but interacting with each other.
I am not an axpert at AI , but not bad with live action production.
Maybe somebody can tell me if this is “ real or Memorex” and the fact, that the budget was only 6K …..
