It's not your fault anyway that counter intelligence fucked up and didn't catch her earlier, so why take risks. She gets off easy.

So what do you do? The dossier on the enemy agent says she has a teenage daughter. Then you remember the two young students in cell 43 the snatch squad brought in yesterday. Orphaned sisters, the younger one barely 18. Will the agent's maternal instinct kick in and break her when she watches the younger sister being raped by the guards while you fry the girl's nipples with electricity?

Only one way to find out.
I applaud the originality of this answer. I was expecting most suggestions to involve electricity and dunking (both of them actually presenting some risk of proving fatal), but having to watch the suffering of an unrelated but expendable victim might work.

On a side note, I don't know if it's more sad or funny how we have to censor ourselves. A real interrogator willing to torture a real human being would probably not give a damn if he/she is "barely 18" or "almost 18". But we, while not hurting anyone for real, have to specify that even in our imagination there are no issues about legal age.

Do we actually have to censor ourselves? 18 for me is a personal min age. There are many mainstream books with graphic description of sex, rape and violence involving minors (Tom Clancy and others). Will do some Google sleuthing to find out what actually constitutes written pornography, because I have no clue what the law is (in Germany).

I mean that we apply a sort of spontaneous auto-censoring to ourselves. I do not particularly wish to read about victims of 17, but I find it striking that even in the wildest stories on the relevant page when age is mentioned we always get the magic number, even when the story is set in an epoch where there were no such regards, and women were considered adults much earlier. At that point, better to just stay with a generic "young" IMO. In no way a criticism to your contribution, which I found excellent.

You have to be careful because people are assholes. When I published my novel, which contains a prominent underage incest scene meant to show that the protagonist has lost his humanity completely, I was publicly accused of being a pedophile by people who admitted they knew otherwise and that they were just creating trouble for the fun of seeing how it worked out. It did not create any real trouble for me fortunately but in today's climate that could always turn out differently. It's much safer to specify that everything is within current legal limits even when the story is set in the middle ages or some future where there are no governments or laws.
