"Teacher awaits punishment" reworked with AI.
The post-work of the image took place in three steps.
Step 1
The image of 2023 generated with DazStudio was enhanced with Krea.AI.
Step 2
The Krea.AI image was edited with Fooocus AI as follows:
The teacher's hands were refined slightly. The woman's face was replaced with the face of a more mature woman. The sheikh's face was also replaced with a somewhat grimmer face. The soldier's left hand could not be made any better, even with Fooocus AI. It still looked like two intertwined hands.
Step 3
The soldier's entire left forearm was cut out in Corel PaintShop Pro and replaced with the forearm from the original image.
Using the PhotoScape X Pro program, the swapped faces and arm were darkened in area masks to match the overall color of the image.

Beautiful work, Artur. I love what you're doing with your previous images. Thank you for sharing.

Re: Art by Artur-AE
Thanks. I'm thinking that 3D rendering is on the last dying leg, DAZ, Poser and all the softwares that service this niche. The way I see it, very soon the AI will need only a rough draft, maybe a amateurish sketch crayoned, then fed into AI and getting results much better than anything G8 or LF2 can ever produce. A bit depressing and dispiriting but that's the way it is, I s'pose. Kind of kill the desire on my part to make new stuff since I'm too late in the station to jump into AI wagon and there's little incentive to make subpar materials, putting hours of posing work when a wiz kid can make a better one in a few minutes.
It was a nice ride for as long as it lasted.

Despite DAZ, Poser and the like, there are still artists and painters today who draw or paint motifs like the ones we use. So, they are still there. That's exactly how it will be with CG Images. I have thought about working on two tracks in the future. I will make an image and publish it in the CG section. I will rework the same image with AI and publish it in the AI section. It remains to be seen which method will be more popular.doe.1971 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 1:37 pm Thanks. A solid CG basis is always a path to success. I have yet to see a complex and flawless AI representation in our genre.
As a test, I took an image of yours and had it enhanced by Krea.AI. The difference is not very big. But without your image, the AI would not be able to create even an approximation of such an image. You can't create this with prompts alone. However, Krea offers the option of painting or sketching to support the prompts. But then you have to subscribe and pay to Krea. You cannot create a complex scene in the free render time, with many passes.
Conclusion:
Don't get discouraged and keep doing what you're doing, maybe with a little help from AI.
I can tell you one thing, your viewers will thank you, if not with comments, then with clicks on the images.
Re: Art by Artur-AE
In the late 19th century, it was said that color photography could kill painting. In the mid-20th century, many people thought television would kill movies. Did it kill it? And so it is with AI. There is always room for creativity ...
Re: Art by Artur-AE
I totally agree with that opinion. As an art lover I will always put more value on a scene created by an artists skilled hand, including 3D rendering, rather than one from AI. Just my .02 cents.

Re: Art by Artur-AE
Jucundus has one on VOD, footroasting that's 100% AI, refined to the point of lacking 6 fingers or other common errors and LOOKS AMAZING. I'll never be able to do that. I can replicate more or less Jucundus' 3D work but that's a different level.
For now, you're right, of course but think about the blazing speed we have for everything computer related. In a few short years will be enough a rough sketch of what you want.artur-ae wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:25 am As a test, I took an image of yours and had it enhanced by Krea.AI. Don't know, I feel like a mechanical typewriter repairman in the 80s. There are still a few of them around but there's that new toy from IBM everyone is talking about.

Notice:
In the future I will publish new images as follows:
Once, as always, created with DazStudio.
In addition, I will rework this CG image with AI programs and publish it in parallel. Depending on the forum. Either as a joint release of both images or in the galleries specified by the forum, usually separately for CG and AI.
In this way, every viewer of my pictures can choose their favorite type of presentation. Or both.
Souvenir Photo II
The year is 1965 and the Republic of Esterian is not yet a dictatorship. But Esterian is in danger of collapsing. Two provinces have already seceded and declared independence. The head of the secret service, Fredenstein, then staged a coup with the military and deposed parliament. Emergency laws are in force and from now on Esterian is governed by a military council under the leadership of Fredenstein.
Fredenstein and the military have occupied the renegade provinces and reintegrated them into the motherland.
The scene shows the end of the interrogation of a partisan leader. Fredenstein, on the right of the picture, conducted the interrogation himself.
As Fredenstein is in the province for the last day, he has commissioned a photographer loyal to the system to take a souvenir photo of the partisan's interrogation.
People in the picture, from left to right: photographer (later Minister of Culture), deputy head of the secret service (later head of the People's Secret Service), partisan leader (whereabouts unknown) Fredenstein - leader of the military council (later dictator and president of the "Esterian People's Republic").

The AI is definitely better at conveying the expressions of pain and suffering on the faces of those being tortured
