I did read your review , I appreciate the care and time you have invested in it. I can say that for the most part I agree with you. BH is shooting right now, so I cannot really ask them anything ( 23 +hour days etc...), but after the 8th of October I will talk to them and give you more feedback, hopefully right from "the Man" himself.

It took me a while to get close enough to have a discussion about your review with the creators of the movie. I have brought up ALL your points and indeed you were mostly right. Here are the excuses 
... ooops explanations:
1) It is more and more difficult to find quality models and yes, even in Prague. Not only pretty and suitable, speaking at least basic English, but also those who are NOT excessively tattooed, "enhanced" by various surgeries and Botox ( boobs, lips, asses etc.) and" brooms" for eyelashes. In the Habachtal series there were from 12 models contracted 4 "no shows" on the day. A huge " reshuffle" of roles had to be made on the day to actually have an ongoing story. Over the years there was always an occasional " no show", but usually legit reasons, but not like now where all 4 rather stayed at home and sticking things into themselves on OF platform. Hence a good observation from Pincus: some guards also had to also play " headless" miners and vice versa. BH will never hire the "ugliness" seen elsewhere.
2) All the whipping scenes are done by the same props and in the same style. That did NOT change over the years. But FX Make Up person changes from time to time and it takes a while for this person to get the right combo. Continuity script person had to be dropped from budgetary reasons. That also does NOT help the situation.
3) Over the years we have two trends of criticism. One: not enough lesbian sex and Two: not enough whipping and other "GIMP stuff". Sometime a hard choice..... the choice is also dictated by the current political correctness and all what goes with it. This situation likely will not change.
4) ... and it does NOT take a degree in economics to understand that what did cost a dollar 5 years ago, costs two dollars ( or more) now. Yet the costs of buying the movie did NOT go up. As an example a model 5 years ago worked for a day for about 300 Euro, today it is 600 and half of them still do NOT get out of bed. So we pay more for a lesser quality. Thus something sometimes ought to give, yet BH is and will maintain the overall quality and integrity of its movies .
