I absolutely love this idea. The harder the whipping the better. And hopefully you'll put the slaves on unpleasant devices as well during the punishments, like a parrot perch, Spanish Horse, Judas cradle etc. There's also tons of interesting punishment positions with shrew's fiddles and stocks.
