JAMES SMITH 1755 by Kishkalwa: This story is written like a journal and is based on a true account. James Smith was captured and beaten by the Indians and later witnessed the torture and death of twelve men and three women after Braddocks defeat. After that he is taken deep into Indian territory where he records what happened to him and to other captives not as fortunate as he.
